Overview

Young nursery children in underserved areas in Chiang Mai live and breathe in air pollution due to lack of air filters from high cost. Love4Air aims to install air filters for nurseries in Chiang Mai so young children can breathe fresh, clean air. Your donation will provide air filters for underprivileged nursery kids in northern Thailand so they can breathe clean air.

Problem

Wildfire, which regularly takes place in northern Thailand, worsens air quality. Underprivileged nursery kids are most prone to be severely affected by air pollution due to lack of air filters. This could lead to health deterioration in the longer term such as asthma attacks, nose bleeds, and IQ decline.

Love4Air Mission

To ensure that underprivileged nursery children receive fresh, clean air, Love4Air fundraises donations to get air filter installments in nurseries in Chiang Mai and northern Thailand.

Project collaboration between SOS Earth and Chiang Mai Aan, the organization aims to provide air filters for 100 nurseries or 5,000 young children living in underserved areas in Chiang Mai and other northern provinces in Thailand

Update 7: June 2022

Love4Air continues to work on raising awareness on the Clean Air Act especially towards children in the most vulnerable group. In the first half of this year, we delivered 73 air purifiers to childcare centers in Chiangmai- our next step is to track and evaluate whether children’s health improves or not.

While air purifiers help ensure for unpolluted, fresh air, their high cost makes them unobtainable for individuals who do not have enough funds to own them. Therefore, Love4Air has planned a collaboration with Smart Air to deliver second-hand air purifiers towards nursery centers around Thailand.

Update 6: December 2021

Socialgiver and our ex-MUT social project representatives, Namtan Chalita and Maria Poonlertlarp organized a live online event hosted by Pompam Niti to fundraise for two active social projects under the name, The Giver War where Thai celebrities put their beloved belongings on auction. 100% of the auction goes to the metioned social projects.

Maria Poonlertlarp on behalf of Love4Air project from SOS Earth, brought 3 items to auction. The first one is from Lydia Sarunrat and her little daughter, Demi, a matching set of dress. The second item is printed film photograph from Bright Vachirawit. And last but not least, Maria offer a 1-day trip with herself for the auction. Total fund received for Love4Air project is 76,912 THB. This fund will improve the air quality for many young children in the northern region of Thailand.

The total fund raised from The Giver War Live is 187,662 THB. Socialgiver would like to thank all of the celebs, social project volunteers and every donors for thier big hearts. Thank you for being a part of our giving community.

Update 5: July 2021

On the 21th of July, Love4Air-Emergency gathered the donation money of 215,126 THB to purchase 96 of air purifiers for an local organization named มูลนิธิเพื่อลมหายใจเชียงใหม่. These air purifiers would be distributed to other preschool children development centers in Chiangmai later. It is necessary to do so as these children all experience the air pollution problem and their body is not fully developed. If they are exposed and accumulated to pollution from a younger age, they may develop other health problems in the future.

Maria also helped fundraising for Thailand Recovery Fund to support Covid-19 patients that need high flow cannula. Total amount of 200,000 THB was donated to Ratchapiphat Hospital

Update 4: 12 June 2021

Donation for Love4Air – Emergency has finished on 2 June. 20% of the donation will go to Love4Air project to support the cost of air purifiers and filters for young children in northern province of Chiang Mai.

Love 4 Air – Emergency is a cooperation between SOS Earth and Socialgiver to raise funds to purchase medical respirator equipment to the hospital that is still scarce. And it is necessary to save the lives of patients receiving Covid-19
