Overview

Covid-19 patients do not get suitable medical attention due to lacking medical personnels and medical care. PedThai assists medical personnels by providing medical attention and symptoms monitoring devices for Covid-19 patients. Your donation will help facilitate the healthcare system in Thailand by providing medical support to Covid-19 patients and allocating hospital beds

Problem

The accelerating number of Covid-19 cases has sent the healthcare system in Thailand towards a collapse. With a limited number of hospital beds and medical personnel, not all patients get enough medical attention and those with severe symptoms are neglected.

PedThai Mission

PedThai assists medical personnels by providing medical attention for Covid-19 patients using automated digital tests that categorizes patients’ symptoms as a preliminary tool and providing medicine for patients in need. As a result, PedThai helps allocate hospital beds to Covid-19 patients that deserve close attention.

Joining hands between tech start-ups, PedThai utilizes technology to categorize Covid-19 patients into red and yellow codes. The patients get monitored and consulted by medical personnels through Pedhai telephone service and receive medicine necessary based on their color code. The plan is to distribute a set of medicine to 10,000 patients. Your donation will help facilitate the healthcare system in Thailand by providing medical support to Covid-19 patients and allocating hospital beds.

Every Baht of your donation via purchasing GiveCards or direct transaction goes to buy medicine and hire medical personnels to take care of Covid patients. Update 4 : 19 July 2022

The announcement for Covid to be endemic has posed a challenge for Covid patients to get access to medicine and proper medical care. This has prompted private sectors to take a role for ensuring that patients receive complete medical attention.

PedThaiSuPai has decided to direct our attention towards older (60 years or older) and patients who suffer from 1 in 8 congenital diseases (608). In our upcoming plan, we will collaborate with Covid Relief Bangkok to develop an application that tracks Covid patients in Bangkok.

Update 3 : 30 September 2021

Since the date that this project is launched until the end of September, we ,the Medicine For All project, has reached out to 5,446 patients who are waiting for their beds at the hospitals. However, the outbreak tends to get worse as there are a higher number of patients who are at high risk. Therefore, we came up with a new task because delivering only the basic medicines is not sufficient. We set up the vans to transfer the patients from their homes to the hospitals or the field hospitals. Doing so not only mitigates the patient’s sickness as he would be treated by the medical team faster but it also helps reduce the chance that the virus would be spreaded to the patient’s family member and the community.

Update 2 : 6 September 2021

In the previous month, we were able to support 4,228 underserved patients all over Bangkok and surrounding area Moreover, we also received donation from the “the Mentors For You” project. This amount of money is from their selling of the GiveCard which accounts for 95,250 baht. This deposit will be used to cover the cost of medicines and the delivery service.

Update 1 : 10 August 2021

Since the project started, we have provided support to 1,012 underserved COVID-19 patients. We have been helping them to slow down and prevent their symptoms from becoming fatal.

We aim to continuously support more patients in need.
