Overview

Yuvabadhana Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1993 with a focus on creating opportunities and improving education for the underprivileged youth in Thailand through cooperation and participation of people in society. This project is a part of Yuvabadhana Foundation’s scholarship program focus on supporting students in vocational school.

Problem

There is no greater or more urgent need than providing careers for Thai people, especially underprivileged children who choose vocational education. These children are determined to work to earn money to support their families as soon as possible. Additionally, vocational education provides a way for them to save money for further education, giving them the opportunity to pursue higher levels of education.

However, poverty is a significant obstacle to education. Students from impoverished families are at risk of not being able to continue their studies or of dropping out if they do not receive scholarships. These children are further burdened by various crises, including inequality, economic problems, and the pandemic, which has caused many families to lose income or face unemployment. Many families face increased educational expenses, such as costs for online learning, requiring phones, tablets, computers, and internet fees. Although students can now return to regular schooling, they still face inflation and rising costs, which seem to have increased more than ever before.

Mission

Supporting vocational students is considered a way of helping the nation by producing skilled labor, which meets the growing demands of the domestic labor market, which currently faces a shortage of graduates to fulfill these needs.
