Love Wildlife Foundation is a non-profit dedicated to protecting Thailand’s wildlife, with a focus on slow lorises. We rescue, rehabilitate, and prepare animals for release while raising awareness to promote sustainable coexistence between people and wildlife.

Problem

All slow lorises rescued and brought to the station must undergo a quarantine process to ensure their safety and maintain good health. With at least one new slow loris arriving each month, the need for a fully equipped quarantine facility is critical. The current quarantine building at the breeding station, originally designed with 10 isolation rooms, has deteriorated significantly over the years and is no longer functional. As a result, newly rescued slow lorises are temporarily housed in veterinary facilities that are inadequate for long-term care.

In addition, 20 small cages used as enclosures for slow lorises after quarantine are also old, rusty, and deteriorating. These cages were originally too small and made from materials that wear out easily, compromising the welfare of the animals.

To address these issues, repairing the 10 quarantine cages and replacing the post-quarantine enclosures with high-quality cages that meet proper wildlife care standards is essential. This will provide a safe and suitable environment, improving the chances for rescued slow lorises to recover, regain their health, and be properly prepared for eventual release back into the wild.

Your Impact

Our quarantine cages have been in use for many years and are now severely damaged, making them unable to properly accommodate newly rescued slow lorises. We need to repair 10 quarantine cages so that every slow loris has a safe place to recover, restore their health, and prepare for release back into the wild

฿6,000 – Repair 1 quarantine cage.

฿10,000 – Provide a large stainless-steel enclosure for a slow loris, twice the size of the old enclosure.
