Overview
The SATI Foundation is a grassroots non-profit organization devoted to improving the mental health and overall well-being of at-risk and underserved youth in Thailand. Through mindfulness-based workshops, counseling, and holistic support, SATI empowers young individuals to overcome challenges such as trauma and family instability. The foundation provides educational opportunities, confidence-building activities, and practical livelihood training, equipping youth with essential skills for self-reliance and brighter futures. By fostering resilience and empowerment, Sati inspires positive change in the lives of these youth

Problem
SATI’s Scholarship Program grew out of the work we were already doing with youth. During our workshops and mental health programs, and through our livelihood program that trains young people to work at our café, we often met children who wanted to study but couldn’t afford it. Many showed exceptional potential, yet poverty stood in their way. Our founder, Saks, began quietly covering tuition for a few of these children. As more youth became involved with Sati, this support grew naturally. What started as a small act soon evolved into a structured program that opened doors to education for many who would have otherwise been left behind. Today, the program stands as proof that holistic support and empowerment can change the course of a young person’s life.
